Holiday in July is the theme for just about every quilt shop! AllegroFabrics has a huge collection of unusual cotton prints for holiday 2010. The Michael Miller ones have just arrived. I only order these once, so now is the time to scoop them up. Halloween prints are the very best I have ever seen this year. Over 20 different ones from spiders to hearses!
Seuss...yes, the last Seuss pre order will be sent in later this week. If you have not emailed me your order, this is the time to do it. All of the Seuss prints are listed on the AllegroFabrics Website. To place a pre order, make your selections from the website (search:Seuss) with the item description and the number of yards you want to buy and email your list to me at AllegroFabrics@yahoo.com.
I am expecting the Seuss fabrics to arrive sometime in September. I will invoice you when they arrive.
Wholesale pricing is available to anyone who makes and sells items on ebay, etsy, or a website. If you frequently buy 5 yards of more of a particular print, please apply for a wholesale account on the AllegroFabrics website. It is designed for volume buyers.

I had loads of fun making this LilyandEbony Back to School Set. The skirt is made from a new Bridget and Lucy pattern, called Ruffle Joy. It is made with Moda jelly roll strips stitched together. The pattern has a yoke and elastic waist. Since I didn't have jelly roll strips available, I used my rotary cutter with a zigzag blade and made my own! The tulle at the hem comes on a spool...so no cutting! It was very easy to make in spite of how it looks. The blouse pattern is Olivia from Pink Fig. Elastic shirring is easy, especially if you have an older model sewing machine.

shirring around the neck, sleeves, chest, and waist.
Leave off the shirring around the waist and get a
whole new look! I also included an option to add
a ruffle to the waist and it comes with the pattern
for the headband as well.
